According to reports Cosatu is angry about comments made by Mr Ramaphosa’s adviser, Anc national executive committee member Enoch Godongwana.  This follows questions he posed for parties to consider when discussing the national minimum wage and other labour reforms at the Num bargaining conference last week – Unions incoherent over minimum pay ?  The questions were regarded as “suggestive” and not befitting Mr Godongwana’s sensitive role in the talks.  It is also understood that Amcu’s president Joseph Mathunjwa described the mooted national minimum wage as a “gimmick” to placate workers.
